YYC Cache & Release 2026

Interested in hiding a geocache for YYCCAR26?

We are actively looking for geocache owners, and have resources and knowledge available.

We have people ready to assist and mentor geocache hiders.
We have people willing to help construct geocaches who need ideas.
We have people with ideas who need help constructing geocaches.

Geocaches hidden for the YYCCAR26 event are submitted as usual through geocaching.com.
Please note the following guidelines:

Due to issues in previous years, caches hidden for YYCCAR26 must be located within the limits of the Calgary Ring Road (AB-201)

Geocaches must have the word YYCCAR26 in the name.

Geocaches must remain available for at least 3 months past the end of the event.

Geocaches should not be listed as "Premium-Only".

In the cache description please include the phrase:

"This cache was placed for the YYCCAR26 event with the intention that it not be found prior to Saturday August 15, 2026 @ 10am"

In the notes to the reviewer please let the reviewer know that the cache is hidden for the YYCCAR26 event, August 14-16, 2026.

As in previous years we are encouraging geocache owners to consider refreshing existing caches with new containers and new experiences.
